Mark your calendars: key dates for the NHL Season!

Welcome to today's edition of Canada Hockey News! Grab your coffee, settle in, and let’s dive into the highlights of the upcoming 2024-25 NHL regular season schedules for our Canadian teams.

Toronto Maple Leafs
First Game: October 9, at home against the Montreal Canadiens.
Toronto will wrap their 2024-25 regular season at Scotiabank Arena on Thursday, April 17 against the Detroit Red Wings.
Montreal Canadiens
First Game: October 12, away at the Toronto Maple Leafs.
For the fifth consecutive year, the Canadiens open their campaign against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Vancouver Canucks
First Game: October 9, at home against the Calgary Flames.
This marks the 10th time that the Canucks have hosted the Flames franchise in their regular season home-opener, and the first time since 2018-19.
Calgary Flames
First Game: October 9, at home against the Vancouver Canucks.
Calgary will face their western Canadian rival, the Winnipeg Jets once this season at the Scotiabank Saddledome on October 26th.
Edmonton Oilers
First Game: October 11, away at the Vancouver Canucks.
Edmonton's regular season will conclude with back-to-back games on the road against the Arizona Coyotes on Wednesday, April 17 and Colorado Avalanche on Thursday, April 18.
Ottawa Senators
First Game: October 10, at home against the Florida Panthers.
This will be the 13th time in franchise history that the Sens' season debut comes at home.
Winnipeg Jets
First Game: The Jets open their season on the road at Rogers Place on Wednesday, Oct. 9 when they face the Western Conference champion Edmonton Oilers
Winnipeg faces Canadian teams on 15 occasions – eight games at Canada Life Centre and seven times on the road.
